Gatlinburg is up for a USA Today Readers’ Choice award. Gatlinburg has been nominated in the competition for “Best Place To Visit In The Fall”. October is traditionally the busiest month for the Smoky Mountains as people make their way from all over the country to see the fall beauty the mountains have to offer. Voting is open now through September 4th at 10best.com/awards. Right now, Gatlinburg is in the lead in that competition over Allegany County, Maryland which is in second place right now. Some of the other areas in the top 10 are Asheville, NC; Chattanooga, TN; Branson, MO. and Taos, New Mexico.
