CCSO Investigating Home Break-In
The Cocke County sheriff’s office is investigating a break-in and burglary of a home on Bullard Drive. Brittney Fine told the sheriff’s office that earlier this month, she was in a vehicle that was sitting in the Priceless Foods parking lot at around 11:30pm. A Newport police officer came by to check on that vehicle and wound up taking Ms. Fine into custody on an outstanding warrant. Fine said she left her purse with the people she was with, 46 year old Homer Jones and 42 year old Holly Stuart. Fine says while she was incarcerated, someone forced their way into her home and stole numerous items from the home. She suspects Jones and Stuart in that break-in. Among the items stolen were clothing, tools, jewelry along with debit and credit cards. Fine also stated that the inside of the residence had been ransacked and dog feces from her dog had been smeared on the walls of the residence. No one has been arrested at this time.
