Postal Worker Carjacked In Madison County NC…Postal Carrier Shot

A Madison County, NC postal carrier is in the hospital after being shot. Authorities in Mars Hill say that a postal carrier was shot when her mail vehicle was carjacked by a 23 year old man Tuesday. Teresa Ramsay was delivering mail on her route when Jaden Isaiah Garay carjacked her vehicle. The incident led to the lockdown of several schools in Madison County. Garay was found and taken into custody early Wednesday morning in Burke County NC. He has been charged with attempted first degree murder and is being held in the Madison County jail on a $2 million bond. As far as Teresa Ramsay, the postal carrier that was shot, her exact condition was not released, but doctors say they are optimistic that she will survive.
