WSCC Offering OSHA Safety Class

Walters State Community College is offering a class designed for those who are involved or want to know more about workplace safety. The non-credit class is OSHA’s 30-Hour Safety Training for General Industry and will be at the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Oct. 30-Nov. 2. The class is being offered in conjunction with Tennessee’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Students will learn about workplace hazards and their rights as workers. Walters State says the knowledge gained from this class can reduce downtime and prevent injuries. This class is recommended for front-line supervisors, safety committee members and others involved with safety at the workplace. The cost of that class is $449.
