CCSO Looking For Suspects In Two Thefts
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office looking for a pair of thieves. The first struck at a storage facility on Carson Springs Road. An employee stated that a man could be seen on security footage breaking through a wooden gate and entering the lot. The suspect was on the property for about 25 minutes eventually stealing a winch and a battery. The suspect was wearing possibly camouflage jacket or hoodie and blue jeans. The items stolen were valued at $800.
Then in Parrottsville, a woman on Bruners Grove Road says she went to leave her home late Wednesday morning and noticed a possibly Hispanic male outside a silver minivan at the end of her driveway. She says she watched the man put a trailer ball into the hitch on the back of the minivan. The man then drove off. Embry says she followed the minivan until it turned left onto North Highway 340 and she turned right. About 10 minutes later, she decided to return home being concerned about the man in the minivan. When she returned home, she found that her 6′ X 12″ Utility Trailer was gone. That trailer is valued at $2500. Embry described the silver minivan saying one of the windows had plastic taped over the open space of the window and the minivan had no registration tag.
