Going Real for Christmas
If you have not went out and gotten a Christmas tree yet, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture has a suggestion for you…go real this year. Real Christmas trees are available at many businesses in Newport and Cocke County, but the department of agriculture says going out to a Christmas Tree farm and getting a fresh cut tree, in some instances one that you cut yourself, is an experience you will remember. That is especially if you have children. Many Christmas tree farms have other items for sale as well for the holidays, and many will warm you up with things like hot apple cider.
There is a Christmas tree farm nearby in eastern Sevier County. Wilson Glyn Christmas Tree Farm is open weekends through Christmas Eve. You can get directions to the farm by going to the website https://www.picktnproducts.org/ and search for Wilson Glyn Christmas Tree Farm.
If you are up by Parrrottsville, there is Love’s Produce & Nursery in Greene County. They are located on state Highway 351 south of Greeneville.
