Cocke County Senior Center Asking For Help With Senior Angel Tree

The Cocke County Senior Center is once again having their senior angel tree. Similar to the Salvation Army’s Angel tree for children, the senior angel tree provides Christmas for 5those seniors in Cocke County that are in need. It helps give those individuals a Merry Christmas as well. You can get a copy of the angel tree list at the Cocke County Senior Center in the Tanner Building at the corner of Cosby Hwy and Mulberry Street in Newport.

Besides the items on your angel’s list, toiletry items like mouthwash and deodorant along with gift cards from Wal-Mart and Food City are also appreciated. The deadline to drop off angel tree items are 5pm this Thursday, December 7. Gifts will be processed on Friday, December 8 and the senior center will distribute those gifts to seniors on Monday December 18.
