UT Vols Headed To Citrus Bowl
Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Vols will be busy on New Years’ Day. It was announced on Sunday that Tennessee will appear in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. This will be the sixth appearance for Tennessee in the Citrus Bowl, which is one of the oldest bowl games in college football history. The 8-4 Vols will face the 10-3 Iowa Hawkeyes from the Big 10. Tennessee is ranked 21st in the nation while Iowa is ranked at #17. The last time these two teams met was in the Taxslayer Bowl back in 2015. The Vols won that matchup 45-28. This marks Iowa’s second straight appearance in the Citrus Bowl. They lost to Kentucky last year. The game will kickoff at 1pnm on the afternoon of January 1, 2024. The game will be televised on ABC.
