CCSO Investigating Deaths Of Two Dogs

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the deaths of two dogs, both found in the O’neil Road area. The first dog belonged to Tanner Russell of Cosby. He says they dog disappeared a few weeks ago. Russell says he figured the dog named Marvin had just run off and would be back. When Marvin didn’t come back he went searching for him. Russell says he found his dog just before Christmas in a ag on the side of O’neil Road. The dog had been beaten on the head and was covered in blood.

A second dog was then found in the same area of O’neil Road with a gunshot wound to the face. Tanner Russell says there had been a grey Buick in the area multiple times right before his dog disappeared. So far the sheriff’s department has no suspects in the case, but are continuing to investigate.
