Woman Arrested After Tri-County Chase
A woman wanted in various counties in East Tennessee is now in custody after a police chase through several counties. Everything started Wednesday afternoon when narcotics officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office were conducting surveillance of a location known to distribute narcotics when they spotted 49 year old Billie Sue Flynn of Knoxville driving a dark blue Chevrolet Malibu. Investigators knew she was wanted on multiple warrants in Jefferson, Knox, Grainger, and Sevier Counties. Investigators attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but Flynn refused to stop. The pursuit went into Knox County on US Hwy 11E where investigators lost contact with her vehicle. Surrounding agencies were given a description of the vehicle and asked to be on the lookout. A Sevierville Police officer later spotted Flynn’s vehicle on Hwy 66 and pursued the vehicle onto I-40 east to exit 412 Deep Springs Rd.
Jefferson County authorities then took over the pursuit which wound up on Dalton Road where officers deployed spike strips disabling Flynn’s vehicle. Flynn was taken to the Jefferson County Detention Center where she was found with 9.4 grams of Meth and 1.1 grams of Heroin. Some of the new charges she faces include Felony Reckless Endangerment ; Felony Evading Arrest; Reckless Driving; and schedule I & II narcotics possession.
