Victim Followed On Interstate By Ex-Boyfriend
A Hartford woman called the Cocke County Sheriff’s office Friday morning reporting that her ex-boyfriend was following her on Interstate 40. The victim stated that she had gotten onto I-40 Westbound at the Hartford exit…Exit 447. She says when she looked in the rear view mirror, she noticed her ex-boyfriend, 28 year old Jordan Moore of Newport was driving behind her at a very uncomfortable distance. The victim, Toni Oliver told the sheriff’s office that she pulled into the rest area, but that Moore, pulled into the rest area using the exit…coming into the rest area the wrong way, approached her vehicle, then ripped the windshield wiper off her car and began striking her car with it. When she got back onto the interstate, he followed. A deputy advises her to get off at exit 440 so law enforcement could make contact with her. However, as Oliver got off the interstate, Moore continued heading westbound on I-40. No charges have ben filed against him at this time.
