Restaurant In Knox County Gets New Entrance It Didn’t Need
A restaurant in Knox County now has a new entrance, although it’s one they did not plan on having. The Thai Time restaurant in South Knoxville suffered damage to their building when a Ford Fusion drove through the front of the restaurant Sunday night. The incident happened Sunday night after the restaurant had closed, so no one was injured except for the driver of the car. Thai Time owners say that there was damage to the front and the back of the building with an estimated $75,000 in damages.
The 52 year old driver of the Ford Fusion, James Maiden was fleeing from police when he gave the restaurant an unintended drive thru. He now faces charges of evading arrest, reckless endangerment, driving on a suspended license and parole violation.
