WSCC Offering Non-Credit Classes In June
Walters State Community College’s Division of Workforce Training will be offering three non-credit courses next month. These classes are open to non-students at Walters State. If you have ever wanted to learn how to weld, they have a course for you. The MIG Welding class will teach you a process that is easy-to-learn and highly productive, used often in manufacturing facilities. The class is self-paced with a hands-on approach. The class is on Tuesdays from June 18 through July 16 and is $379 and will be taught at the Walters State Workforce Training Building in Greeneville
For those in the business world that would like to learn the spreadsheet program, Microsoft Excel, Walters State is offering a Level 1 Excel class that will teach you the basics of the program including all the features you need to know to create spreadsheets in Excel. The class is one day on June 12 from 9am-4pm and is $150. This is offered at the Walters State Niswonger Campus, the Morristown Campus and the Newport Center.
Finally, Walters State is offering a class on Parenting and Divorce. This is a state-mandated course for divorcing parents and is offered via Zoom. Parents will improve their communication skills, which experts say makes the transition less traumatic for everyone, especially children. There are two dates for this class, June 4 or June 18, 5:30-9:30 p.m. The cost of the class is $60.
