Jefferson County Woman Jailed For Shooting Boyfriend
A Jefferson County woman is in jail after shooting her boyfriend Tuesday morning. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department says they were called to a home in Jefferson City around 1:20 Tuesday morning because of a shooting. Officers arrived and found the 911 caller, Christopher Stepp with a gunshot wound on his right leg above his ankle. He was transported to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Stepp told officers his girlfriend, Charlotte Pratt had shot him.
Police then went into the residence to make contact with Pratt. They found her walking out of a room armed with a knife and a 9mm handgun. Pratt complied with commands to drop both weapons. She was taken into custody and is now charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault.
