Greeneville Man Reports Stolen Truck

A Greeneville man called the Cocke County Sheriff’s office Monday to report that his truck had ben stolen in Del Rio over the weekend. Phillip Garner stated that he had went camping at Weavers Bend in Del Rio on Friday and had seen his 2018 white Ford F-250 around 10:00 that morning. But, when he returned on Sunday around 5:00 pm, the truck was gone. The sheriff’s office made calls to local towing companies to see if they had towed the truck, but none that were contacted had. On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office was notified that Gran Boys Towing on Industrial Road in Newport had the truck in their possession. They had towed the vehicle on Friday after it had been wrecked on Blue Mill Road in Del Rio. There are no suspects so far in that theft.
