Three Children Found Living In Deplorable Conditions

Police were called to a home on Bowman Drive in Newport over the weekend after two young boys were seen running in the street with no clothes on. An officer responded to the home and found deplorable conditions. There was human feces and urine all over the floor and molded food inside the fridge with nothing inside it being edible. Chicken bones were found on the floor throughout the entire apartment. The back portion of the apartment had standing water because of a leak in the bathroom. Multiple empty liquor containers were found throughout the apartment and the officer said only one bed was in the residence. An infant was also found sleeping inside the apartment. The female, identified as 27 year old Destiny Charles was charged with Child Endangerment and Child Neglect or Abuse.
