Man Seriously Injured In Sevier County Crash

Police in Sevierville have released more details about a crash that shut down US 411 Wednesday night. Police say around 7:30pm Wednesday, 23 year old James Gibson was driving a motorcycle on Hwy 411, also known as Dolly Parton Parkway, when 86-year-old Brownie Campbell, driving a Mazda pickup truck, turned onto the highway from Cherokee Circle. The truck collided with Gibson’s motorcycle, leaving Gibson with serious injuries. He was rushed to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. The road was shutdown for about 90 minutes while that scene was cleared. Police did not say whether any charges have been filed against Campbell, the driver of the pickup truck. That crash remains under investigation
