Over 1400 Take Advantage of Early/Absentee Voting
Early voting for for the August 1 election is in the books in Tennessee. Administer of Elections in Cocke County, Josh Blanchard, says that a total of 1,335 voters cast came through the early voting site in the Western Plaza Shopping Center between July 12 and July 27. There were also 79 who used absentee ballots. That is a total of 1,414 who cast their ballot early during this election cycle.
Those who did not vote early will have to go to their local polling precinct this Thursday, August 1. If you do not know where your local precinct is, you can go online to https://cockecountyelections.org/ and you will find a link on that website that will tell you where your polling place is for your address. If you don’t have online access, just call the Cocke County Elections office during their regular business hours.
