Tip Leads To Drug Arrest In Del Rio

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office received an anonymous tip Saturday afternoon, 8/3, that a wanted female subject was driving from North Carolina to Del Rio transporting fentanyl. The female in question was identified as 42 year old Jamie Orr of Del Rio. Deputies spotted the black Honda Civic that the drugs were being transported in and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection with Fugate Road and Dockery Road in Del Rio. Jamie Orr was in the passenger seat and told deputies that she had asked the driver, Devin Bailey, to take her to North Carolina to purchase narcotics. The drugs were found under the hood of the car. 17 grams total of a powdery or crystal substance, both meth and fentanyl, were found in a bag under the hood of the Honda Civic. Orr admitted to ownership of the drugs. She was taken into custody and charged. Devin Bailey was released.
