Arrest Made For Aggravated Burglary

A man is in jail after he attempted to break into an apartment by pushing a window air conditioner through the window. A couple told police there were asleep inside their residence around 4 am Wednesday morning when they were awakened by the noise of their air conditioner moving in the window. One of the victims told police, she suspected her ex-boyfriend, 35 year old Elliot Hicks was trying to get into her apartment as he recently been stalking her. She stated that she suspected Hicks of trying to push the window air unit through the window and into the room to crawl through the window.

Elliott Hicks was found by police nearby stumbling around by the apartment clearly intoxicated. Hickes had a fresh laceration to his right wrist that was bleeding. His wound matched damage that was done to the window air conditioner of the victim’s apartment. Hicks was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Public Intoxication.
