ATF Undercover Investigation Leads To Arrest
A Knoxville man has been arrested after an ATF undercover investigation. That investigation found that 23 year old Derek Blalock has been selling illegal weapons he purchased from China on the black market. Blalock was found to be selling what are known as Glock switches or Glock auto sears, which convert semiautomatic Glock pistols into fully automatic weapons, which the ATF then classifies as machine guns. Blalock on Tuesday was released from jail on a totally different matter that day sold those converters to an undercover agent. A search warrant was then executed and agents found 13 more Glock converters plus an AR pistol, but also drugs that Blalock admitted selling. 426 grams of marijuana was found along with 277 grams of methamphetamine and over 50 grams of cocaine. Blalock faces a long list of charges that include trafficking firearms , possession of a machine gun, and distributing methamphetamine and cocaine.
