Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit By Car In Morristown

One person was killed when they were hit by a car on Brights Pike Road Thursday afternoon around 5:30pm. Investigators with the Morristown Police Department say that 60 year old William Kenneth Medley was riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the road and lost control of his bike and fell into the roadway. Medley fell right into the path of an oncoming Ford F-150 pickup. The driver of the pickup had no time to react and ran over Medley. Mr. Medley died from his injuries while on route to the hospital. While the accident is still under investigation, no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the pickup.
