Boil Order Continues For Del Rio

The boil order continues to be in effect for residents in Del Rio. Several water lines in that area developed leaks due to the cold weather we experienced over the Christmas holiday weekend. Those leaks have led to water shortages in that area and the boil order. Residents in Del Rio need to continue to boil their water for at least 3 minutes before using it for any purpose other than bathing and cleaning. Newport Utilities destributed more bottled water to those residents yesterday afternoon and evening. No word on whether there will be another water distribution effort today.
