Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion Not Doing Vaccine Mandate…Loses Headliner
Vaccine mandates are affecting the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion coming up in September as well. Organizers of the event made the announcement yesterday that they would not impose a vaccine mandate or negative test policy at this time without a state mandate. Organizers stated they do encourage patrons to get vaccinated and request that unvaccinated people planning to attend be tested for COVID-19 ahead of the festival…but it will not be required for admission.
On August 9th…The Rhythm and Roots headliner Jason Isbell announced in a tweet that proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests would be required at his performances…after the Rhythm and Roots organizers refused to meet his requirement…Isbell backed out of the show yesterday sending out a tweet to fans. So, the Rhythm & Roots Reunion lacks a headliner for now. Organizers say they will make masks available at the gate for anyone who wants one and hand sanitizing and hand washing stations will be stationed throughout the festival which runs in downtown Bristol from September 10-12.
