Bybee Car Thieves Caught In Morristown
Two people responsible for a car break in that happened early Tuesday morning in Bybee are now in custody. Wendell and Janice Holt told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that around 3:30 Tuesday morning they found their 1999 Ford Explorer had both front doors and rear hatch wide open. After checking the vehicle, they found that Janice Holt’s brown pocketbook was missing, which had credit cards plus vehicle and house keys among other items. A trail of items from the vehicle was found leading down the driveway and onto the road in front of their home.
Late Tuesday morning, the Morristown Police Department alerted the Cocke County Sheriff’s office they had arrested two individuals who had been found in possession of items associated with an address in Bybee. Those items included keys to a Ford vehicle and a set of house keys. The two arrested were Leslie Whitehouse and Brandon Spalding. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is investigating that case.
