Bybee Couple Victims Of Home Burglary

Cocke County police responded to a home on Nease Road in Bybee about a burglary. Homeowners Gregory and Victoria O’Dell stated that over the last week and a half, they have noticed items coming up missing in their home. Those items include a Springfield XD-40 handgun and $1300 in cash…plus jewelry and a Samsung laptop. The O’dell’s told police the names of several individuals they suspect. They also stated they have two dogs that watch over the property…those two dogs utilize a doggy door to come in and out of the house at will…they told police it is likely that is how burglars made their entry into the home. Pry bar marks were found on the front door where it appeared someone had attempted to break in. No arrests have been made in that case due to lack of evidence, but the case is an open investigation.
