Bybee Man Dies After Fall From Roof

A Bybee man died over the weekend after sustaining injuries he received when he fell off a rood late last week. Jayden Schober told authorities that he and 47 year old Brian Evans, were working on a roof on Hartford Road. Both are employed by Team Ferrell in Cosby. Schober stated he was on the roof and Evans was bringing supplies up the ladder and had attempted to climb onto the roof. Schober said he heard a noise and turned to see Evans falling off the roof. First responders found Mr. Evans not breathing but with a pulse and began CPR. He was transported to the Newport Medical Center when he was then transferred to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville where he dies from his injuries on Saturday. Chris Gregg, a supervisor with Team Ferrell told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that Evans had fallen an estimated 20 feet.
