Calvary Baptist Church Victim Of Break In Attempt

There are no suspects regarding who tried to break into the Calvary Baptist Church in Newport on Friday. The pastor of the church, located on Bat Harbor Road told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that is does not appear anyone made it into the building and that nothing was missing. He stated a guest arrived on Friday sometime after 1pm and noticed one window was broken. A second window was later discovered broken and pry marks were located under the frame of the windows.
