Car Stolen In NC Winds Up In Local Towing Lot

A man in Swannoa, NC, near Asheville contacted the Cocke County Sheriff’s office this week that their vehicle had been stolen and was suspected top be at a towing lot in Newport. Cameron Reinhardt told the sheriff’s office that the Apple Air-Pods he has in the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee were showing the vehicle located at Evans Towing. Upon investigation, the sheriff’s office learned the vehicle had been stolen recently in Asheville. The Tennessee Highway Patrol had pulled over that vehicle and arrested the driver, Peter Bartolomeo for DUI…which is how the stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee then made its way to Evans Towing. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office contacted the Asheville Police Department to alert them of the recovery of that stolen vehicle.
