Carjack Suspect In Jefferson County Caught

More details have been released regarding the capture of that carjacking suspect in Jefferson County this morning. Aaron Bradley Stein kicked off a manhunt when he carjacked a victim at Planet Fitness on Chapman Highway in Knoxville on Thursday afternoon then fled to the New market area of Jefferson County which led to a 3 day manhunt. At about 3 this morning a THP aviation unit spotted Stein in a creek bed. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office with help from the Blount County SWAT team and the Jefferson County Special Operations Response Team closed in on the suspect. As law enforcement closed in on him…Stein then turned his gun on himself and fired. He was then airlifted to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. His condition has not been released.
