CCSO Continues Search For Burglary Suspect

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office along with East TN Crime Stoppers are continuing to look for a suspect in a recent rash of burglaries in Newport. Bryan Thompson remains at large. He is the suspect in multiple burglaries, including one at Smoky Mountain Silencer, where he is accused of stealing $4,000 in cash and an AR rifle. The Cocke County sheriff’s office believes he is still in this area as Thompson usually does not go far from the Newport-Cosby areas.
