CCSO Investigating Case of Revenge Pornography

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is investigating what they are calling a case of revenge pornography. A woman told the sheriff’s office that 43 year old Roger Gates of Newport, who was her boyfriend for 10 years before becoming her ex-boyfriend, has allegedly been using pornographic photos of her and sending them to different men. The victim says Gates was the only individual with access to those photos. The woman stated that on April 13th at 3:30am, a man showed up at her address in response to her message that she wanted him to come over. That man was identified as TJ Howard. He showed the victim the messages and photos stating she wanted him to come to her home. She says Gates had allegedly made a fake Facebook profile in attempt to send strange men to her house. She stated she was not in any danger with Mr. Howard, but is concerned that there could be more strangers show up at her front door. As of now the District Attorney’s office has not filed any charges in this case.
