CCSO Investigating Child’s Death

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 14 month old child. The accident happened Monday afternoon at around 1:40pm on private property. Sheriff CJ Ball says the accident involved a vehicle running over the child. No details about the incident are being released, including the names of the parties involved, as Sheriff Ball says this is an ongoing investigation with the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation division. Ball says this is a very tragic situation and prayers are going out to the family members of the victim as well as the first responders and hospital staff who were involved in responding to the accident.
