CCSO Investigating Stolen Firearm

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident regarding a stolen firearm. Denise Merchant told the sheriff’s office she had moved from Florida to Cocke County. She had hired the moving company, All American Moving and Relocating in Knoxville. Merchant stated that the moving crew had a 19 year old white male working with them that she observed looking in her gun box multiple times. Once moved she noticed her .38 revolver with a pink handle was missing from that gun box. The sheriff’s office attempted to contact the moving company but got no response. The gun is now being entered intro the national crime database, NCIC, as a stolen weapon.
