CCSO Investigating Trailer Theft

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is investigating the theft of a trailer with lumber on it. Jeffrey Little of Dallas, NC says he is currently building a house on Mountain Trail Drive. He told a deputy that he had a 20 foot trailer with 270 14 foot tongue and groove boards on it parked at the bottom of the driveway to the under construction home. Little stated that when he left at 7pm Thursday the trailer was still there but when he returned at 6am the next morning, it was missing. Little stated he had borrowed the trailer from his father and it is valued at $8,000, while the lumber is valued at $4,000. No suspects in that theft.
