CCSO Searching For Escaped Inmate

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Department is searching for an escaped inmate this morning. Steven DeWayne Jones, who was arrested recently for DUI and simple possession, escaped from the Cocke County Detention Center at appriximately 10:25pm Wednesday night. Jones was last seen going through the Food City East Parking Lot on Broadway. According to Sheriff CJ Ball, Steven DeWayne Jones is homeless and has no stable place to live.
Jones is a 37 year old white male that is 5’8″ tall, 185 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone who spots Steven Jones needs to call police.
