Charles Owensby Arrested Wednesday

Just a couple days after telling police that someone had fired a shot at his camper on Jimtown Road…Charles Owensby was arrested yesterday by Cocke County police for failure to appear in court. The 69 year old Owensby was supposed to appear in court on Monday, the same day that he told police someone had shot at his camper…leaving a bullet hole in the side of that camper. Owensby had been arrested back in July on drug charges in the Edwina community, but had posted a $1,000 bond and had been released. It was on Owensby’s property that two victims of fatal dog attacks were found earlier this year…Tony Ahrens in April and Amber Miller a couple months later.
