City Of Newport Announces Trash Collection Change For The Holiday

The City of Newport Street Department is closed on Monday for Christmas. If you normally have your trash picked up on Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday, December 27th. Now next week, the Street Department will also be closed on Friday, December 30th and Monday January 2nd for New Year’s. Trash that is normally picked up on Friday and Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, January 3rd. You will need have to your trash to your pickup location by 7:00 a.m. The same schedule is also for the City of Newport’s Convenience Center.
