Clay Blazer Announces Candidacy For County Mayor

Cocke County Commissioner Clay Blazer has announced he is running for the Cocke County mayor job in 2022 as well.

Blazer is from Parrottsville and went to Parrottsville Elementary School…graduating from Cocke County High School. Blazer is also a graduate of Walters State, The University of Tennessee and East Tennessee State. He has been a teacher in Cocke County for more than 20 years…becoming nationally board certified in 2005. Blazer was first elected in 2006 to represent Cocke County’s 2nd district. He is also on Cocke County Farm Bureau’s Board of Directors and is president of the Newport Theatre Guild.

Blazer says he is running for County Mayor because he believes in Cocke County and will work to protect its values and promote county priorities.
