Cocke Co. Partnership Looks To Go Bigger And Brighter For 2022 Christmas Parade

If you have been in Wal-Mart or Lowe’s you’ve noticed it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And just in time, the Cocke County Partnership is accepting registration for the annual Newport Christmas Parade. This year’s parade will be at night. The theme for this years’ parade is “Christmas Nights & Magical Lights”. The Partnership is accepting applications for entries into the parade now through November 28^th. Entries can be made at www.newportcockecountychamber.com/events/christmas-parade/. Applications will also be available on the stairs outside the Walters State double doors at 115 Mulberry Street, Newport. Entry for floats in the parade is just $10, for vehicles and horses the fee is $5. The Partnership is requesting participants to think big and bright when incorporating lights on their floats….the brighter the better.

The date for the Christmas Parade is Friday December 2 at 6:30pm. And will start at Debbie’s Drive-In and end at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
