Cocke Cocke Legislative Body To Meet For Rezoning Requests

the Cocke County Legislative Body will be holding a public hearing on Monday July 15th. This special meeting is being held to consider two zoning requests. Darrin Costner of Creeks End, LLC is looking to take two existing lots zoned for residential and combine them into one lot that would be rezoned A-1, or agricultural. This is in the Del Rio area.

The other zoning request deals with changing a residential lot to commercial. This request is being made from a representative of Dollar General. The lot is at 2125 Bogard Rd. which is at the corner of Bogard Rd and Highway 321 south of Newport. If approved the lot would be rezoned from R-1 residential to C-1 Neighborhood Commercial. The meeting on the 15th will be at 5pm in the Circuit Courtroom of the Cocke County Courthouse.
