Cocke County And Newport Police Locate Irreplaceable Item

Back in June, a man and his son made the drive to east Tennessee from Grundy county in middle Tennessee for a fishing tournament on Douglas Lake. David & Hank Lowrie stayed at the Hampton Inn in Dandridge where they came out the morning before the tournament and found their truck and boat had been stolen. One of the items they lost was a medallion that contained the ashes of David’s father…an irreplaceable item. Thanks to investigators in Cocke County and the Newport police department, David Lowrie has been reunited with that medallion. Newport police were able to locate the medallion and other items…the truck and the boat have been recovered but since it is an ongoing investigation police could not relate how they located the missing items.
