Cocke County C-5 Makes TN First Lady’s Specialist List
Cocke County’s Cradle To Career Coalition, better known as C-5 is getting some statewide recognition. The non-profit that works to improve the lives of Cocke County students has made Tennessee First Lady, Maria Lee’s 12 Days of Giving Campaign. The 12 Days of Giving began this year on Giving Tuesday, November 28, and features a different nonprofit and a unique call to action for the 12 following weekdays.
The Cocke County C5 is listed on Day 7, which is this week. The C-5 coalition helps students with books, nutritious food, funds, or time to improve literacy, food security and contribute to children’s overall educational success in Cocke County. Jennifer Ellison with the C-5 says it is an honor to be recognized by the state.
Some other organizations in the 12 Days of Giving this year are Hope Smiles, Dismas House, Sevier County Food Ministries and the Gary Sinise Foundation.
