Cocke County Deputies Respond To Trespassing Report
Cocke County Deputies Timothy Snapp, Rodney Hazelwood and Josh Ellis responded to Kizzy Patch Road on a report of trespassing. The complainant Jonathon Pritchett reported that he’s been having problems with his neighbor, John Reiber coming on to his property without permission. Mr. Pritchett reported that back on March 3rd of this year, Mr Reiber trespassed and made threats and that the sheriff’s department was called. At that time, Mr Reiber was put on no trespass status to not be on Mr Pritchett’s property. Mr Prichett reports there has been multiple incidents that have been caught on security camera’s showing Mr Reiber with his dog trespassing on his property. When deputies spoke with Mr Reiber about the incidents, he stated that he had not been on Pritchett’s property and that the trail cameras Mr Pritchett set up were actually on his property. Because of the dispute of the property lines, and no way of knowing where the property lines were, deputies issued Mr Reiber a Cocke County Sessions Court Citation for Criminal Trespass, deciding the best way to handle the incident was to have both parties in court. Reiber was also given a written warning for dogs running at large.
