Cocke County Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

A Cocke County man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault after an incident last week. The victim stated that her husband, 51 year old Eric Dunn had gotten upset with her over a can of soda. The victim says that at one point, Dunn took a butter knife and “dug it” into her face, leaving a bleeding cut on the left side of her face. She also stated that Dunn placed his hands over her face, covering her mouth, making is difficult to breathe. She also stated Dunn slammed her onto the ground and onto a tote. Inside the camper off Hwy 25E where the attack took place, deputies noticed a broken clear tote and fresh blood on the camper door. In addition to the cut on her face, the victim had blood in her left ear and multiple scrapes and bruises on her back.

Deputies later found Eric Dunn at that camper where he was taken into custody and charged.
