Cocke County Man Indicted By Grand Jury

A Cocke County man who is accused in the shooting death of his neighbor last fall has been indicted on several charges including murder. Back on September 17, 66 year old David Kite Moore was accused of shooting and killing his neighbor, Mark Burnham on Baysinger Road. Moore was believed to have been at his home after the shooting but after several hours, law enforcement found that not to be the case. After a manhunt that stretched into Monday September 18, Moore was captured in the Industrial Drive area after crashing his vehicle. A Cocke County Grand Jury has indicted Moore on several charges including murder, one count of evading arrest and one count of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. He is due to be arraigned on those charges on Tuesday, January 16.
