Cocke County Partnership Offering Business Classes
The Cocke County Partnership Chamber of Commerce is offering several business classes coming up later this month. The first is March 20th from 10-11 am. That class is Small Business Startup 101. A Tennessee Small Business Development Center specialist from the SBA in Knoxville will discuss different forms of business organization, tax requirements, business licenses, and financing options for starting up a small business. The class is for anyone who has questions about starting up their own small business. The class will be at the Chamber of Commerce office in the Tanner Building and is free.
there are also two other business related classes this month with the Cocke County Partnership. The next is on Tuesday March 28th at 9am and us called Accelerate Your Marketing Drive. That class will be offered online, or you can register and attend the class in person at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. You’ll learn the proven, 4-Step Strategic Roadmap to drive more connections with your audience and increase your leads. That class is free.
Then on Wednesday, March 29th the class Contracting Opportunities for Women-Owned Small Businesses will be held at the Cocke County Partnership’s office in the Tanner Building. To help level the playing field for women business owners, the Federal Government has created the “Women-Owned Small Business Contracting” program. Projects in designated industries may e set aside for certified entities to bid. In this class you will learn eligibility, types of projects set aside, the application process and more. Special Guest Speaker: Ms. Jacqueline Merritt, who is an Economic Development Specialist with the US Small Business Administration. That class is free and will be from 2-3pm on March 29th.
