Cocke County Sheriff’s Office Looking For Corrections Officers

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Corrections Officers. The department currently has 5 openings they are looking to fill. Starting pay is $27,552 a year with benefits including retirement. You can apply for one of those positions in person at the Cocke County Detention Center and you must have a valid drivers license, a high school diploma or the equivalent of…and you must pass a background check.

Those openings coincide with openings at the 911 center. Cocke County currently has 2 openings for 911 dispatchers to work in the 911 center on Mineral Street in Newport. Applications for those openings can be picked up at the Cocke County Sheriff’s office and need to be turned in by no later than 4pm this Friday, July 16th.
