Cocke County Sheriff’s Office Still Seeking Applicants

Time is running out to apply for positions within the Cocke County sheriff’s office. Currently the sheriff’s office is taking applications for patrol officers, School Resource Officer and, animal control. All positions are Post certified positions and require attendance of the police academy. All applications must be turned in by August 20, 2021 by noon at the sheriffs office..as the civil service exam will be given the evening of August 30, at the EMA building. You must pass the written exam in order to proceed to the next level, which is the physical agility exam to be held the next day August 31st at 8:00 am at the Cocke County Fair Grounds. Applications can be picked up in the court house at the sheriff’s office.
