Cosby Man Arrested After Throwing Knife At Deputy
Cocke County deputies were called to a home on Holders Grove Road in Cosby Wednesday about a domestic dispute than had turned physical. The 911 caller, Rebecca Williamson stated that 47 year old Travis Stuart had struck her in the head with a rock and that he also had hit her in the arms and legs with a DeWalt drill. Deputies were told that Stuart was hiding inside the home. Deputies made entrance into the home through a garage door. Upon opening one door in the home, a knife was thrown at Deputy Jacob Damron, nearly hitting him in the face. Travis Stuart was finally located hiding in a bedroom closet. He refused to show his hands and was finally tased in the leg to gain compliance. Two more knives were found in Stuart’s waistband. He was already wanted on a felony warrant in Cocke County but now also faces felony charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
